Gorges Park Cheers Bond Approval - Brevard NC

With North Carolina voters approving the $2 billion bond referendum Tuesday, Gorges State Park will use a portion of the money to build a mixed-use family campground, which will accommodate RV's, as well as a bathhouse.

In Transylvania County, 5,891 voters (63.19 percent) backed the bond, while 3,432 voters (36.81 percent) voted against. Statewide 1,401,801 voters (65.56 percent) supported the bond, while 736,488 voters (34.44 percent) came out against it.

Gorges Park Superintendent Steve Pagano said he has received a lot of requests for a campground.
