Boys & Girls Club Seeks More Supporters – Brevard NC

Fun and energy are always in abundance at the Boys & Girls Club, as evidenced here during a celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week last month. The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club, Transylvania County's largest youth development organization, wants to expand its supporters by appealing to new first-time donors as its 2016 fund drive moves into full swing this month. Its leaders say the need to do that exists because the organization's rapid growth is resulting in rising operational expenses.

"We served 36 percent more youth in 2015 than in 2014," said Cary Hitchcock, president of the club's Board of Directors. "This year we're on track for it to be another record year and with that kind of growth comes the increase in expenses....
