A Tree City

Frank "Buster" Rogers, with the N.C. Forest Service, explains to Davidson River School students Wednesday that the Holly trees planted along the soccer field on Ecusta Road are hybrids and will fair well in the sun and the extreme dry and wet periods in Brevard. Rogers, students and city of Brevard employees helped plant the trees as part of the annual Arbor Day celebration. The city has been recognized as a Tree City longer than any other city in the state.
