Principal Pay Is A Problem


Now that the North Carolina General Assembly is back in session and Gov. Pat McCrory has released his proposed budget, it seems fairly certain that pay raises for teachers will be discussed. Since teacher pay in this state has fallen behind some of our neighboring states and the number of college students preparing to become teachers has dropped significantly, it is an issue that needs to be addressed.

But another educational pay issue also needs to be addressed: low pay for principals.
