Community Embraces Hope - Brevard NC

 

The Legacy Run Saturday in downtown Brevard raised more than $50,000 for Inheritance of Hope, a local charity that serves young families facing the loss of a parent. Last Saturday, more than 500 runners and walkers, plus 100 volunteers from the local community, took part in the Hunter Subaru Legacy Run, raising more than $50,000.

The event, which had the largest turnout in its four-year history, is a fundraiser for Inheritance of Hope, a local charity that serves young families facing the loss of a parent.

Legacy Run proceeds go to hosting more families at a Legacy Retreat, an all-expenses-paid experience, where families receive tools to navigate the challenges of terminal illness.

New this year was Brevard's first-ever half marathon.
