Food Matters Market 'Health Talk' Series Continues May 27 – Brevard NC

Food Matters Market & Café will feature Bill Bailey, local wellness coach and personal trainer, at its May Health Talk forum Friday, May 27, during gluten-free month, at noon upstairs, at the store.

“We’ve all seen an increase in auto-immune diseases and food allergies,” said Bailey. “A strong digestive and immune system is key to staying healthy. By eating the right foods and supplements you help your body break down and absorb the nutrients you need to stay well. So strengthening your gut helps you fight back.”

Bailey will share his personal regimen and some of the recipes he prepares for his own gut health. He says they taste great.

Bailey has been training people of all ages for 24 years, in and around Transylvania County. Now at the Fitness Factory, he specializes in functional movement, posture alignment, weight loss, overall wellness and strength and agility for young athletes.

Bailey holds a degree in exercise science from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn. He is certified as a strength coach and personal trainer with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Assoc.), NASN (National Assoc. of Sports Nutrition) and IFPA (International Fitness Professional Assoc.).

Food Matters Market & Café provides fresh local produce, meats, dairy and eggs, in addition to natural, organic, non-GMO, gluten free foods and nutritional supplements to customers wanting a healthier life-style. The store is a direct link for the Farm to Table concept, working with area farmers and local food producers.
