It was 1916 when a small group of girls from Jacksonville, Fla., led by Miss Florence Ellis and Miss Fannie Holt, came to Transylvania County and marked the inaugural class of Keystone Camp.

Today, 100 years, thousands of campers and four generations of family later, Keystone Camp is stronger than ever, having surpassed the century mark and earned Keystone the title of oldest private camp in the Southeast.

Through the years two things have remained a common thread at Keystone Camp: a commitment to molding future generations of young girls and the family lineage that started it all.
