Economic & Workforce Development/Continuing Education

The Transylvania County Campus offers a regular schedule of courses and training programs for emergency, fire, law enforcement, and allied health personnel. The college provides services to business and industry through its Corporate and Customized Training Program, Small Business Center and work-based learning programs. Individuals seeking assistance with workplace and job seeking skills can find assistance at the NCWorks Center and through the Human Resource Development Program. Basic Skills Programs are offered in Adult Basic Education (ABE) and High School Equivalency Diploma.

NCWorks Center

Transylvania County NCWorks Center is a comprehensive career planning, training, and job placement resource for all residents of Transylvania County. Services include job search assistance and resume and job interview preparation, as well as locating financial assistance for job training. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Walk-ins are welcome; appointments can be scheduled by calling (828) 883-2550.
