Gas Shortage Hits Area

Transylvania County residents were left scattering to find gas over the weekend and into this morning after a major gas pipeline in Alabama was shut down after inspectors found a leak, causing fuel shortages all across the South.

A state of emergency in North Carolina has been called by Governor McCrory's office due to the gas shortage.

However, gas could be on the way. This morning, Colonial Pipeline announced it was sending gas supplies to impacted areas from another source. In Transylvania County Saturday, drivers formed lines outside local gas stations to fill their tanks - concern...
