Tigers Hang On For First Win Of Season Over Knights

Tanner Whitman bursts through an opening created by his offensive line in the third quarter of Rosman's 14-7 win over Trinity Academy Friday night. Whitman was the Tigers' leading rusher, carrying the ball for 118 yards on 26 attempts and one touchdown.

The Rosman Tigers needed some fourth quarter heroics Friday night as they looked to pick up their first win of the season against Trinity Academy.

The Tigers would need a stop on defense with 5:00 left to play, holding on to a 14-7 lead with Trinity moving the ball to the Tiger 36-yard line.

Chandon Dodson and Jonathan Holliday heard the call, recording seven tackles apiece, but both emerged on a fourth-and-six play that turned the ball back over to the Tigers' offense.

The Tiger offense would need a bit of magic as they moved the ball across midfield.
