DAR Chapter Holds First Meeting After Summer Recess – Brevard NC

The September meeting of the Waightstill Avery Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution was called to order by Regent Nancy Funston. The membership participated in the ritual which was led by Funston and Peggy Bridges, Acting Chaplain. Peggy Langa led the Pledge of Allegiance and Kathy Merrill led The American's Creed. Completing the opening ceremony was Dianne Dickerson playing the national anthem for soloist Dorothy Hudson.

Guests were introduced: Judy LaRocca, Bonnie Jensen and Cat Christianson. During the meeting, Christianson gave a generous bequest to the Waightstill Avery C...
