Judging from the majority of letters to the editor regarding the city’s study on the West Loop, billed as “an alternative route for local drivers circulating within the city, thereby relieving congestion on U.S. Highways 64 and 276,” the proposal has few, if any, proponents.

So, it came as little surprise that three recent workshops, hosted by the city, on the proposed loop, were well attended by a cross-section of Brevard residents, who overwhelmingly rejected the core belief of the study.
