Pettit Powers Brevard To First Round Win Over Carver – Brevard NC

With a combination of grace and power, Tanner Pettit pirouettes into the end zone after plowing over a Carver linebacker to put Brevard up 28-14 and seal a first-round victory Friday night. Trailing the Carver Yellowjackets 7-6 at halftime, Brevard head coach Craig Pritchett told his team that they were only guaranteed two more quarters of football.

They're now guaranteed four after the Blue Devils scored 22 points in just over 12 minutes to rally for a 28-14 victory in their first-round playoff game Friday night.

Jesse Lowery got the home crowd rocking early, returning the opening kickoff to the Carver 32. But a holding penalty on the first play moved Brevard in the wrong direction.

Moments later, a third-down pass intended for Ari Williams in the end zone fell incomplete...
