On Veterans Day, wearing the uniform I originally wore some 40 years ago, I solemnly stood at parade rest before the Rosman War Memorial. Why?

Well, like millions of those before me, those serving now and in the future, we theoretically signed a blank check for our lives to help our country in its need to fight for its freedom, your freedom. The war may have been unpopular to many, but whatever service we belonged to, we did what we were ordered to do and went wherever we were sent to fight.
