The article “Caldwell Street Work To Kick Into Gear” in this newspaper reminded me of the dysfunctional workings of the city of Brevard traffic planning for downtown. It reminds that about 10 years ago when the NCDOT was developing a plan for downtown traffic and the integrated traffic signal system they recommended Broad and Caldwell streets be converted into a pair of one-way streets.
