The water temperature at Lake Atagahi in Connestee Falls Saturday was 39 degrees for the Polar Plunge, a benefit for the Special Olympics. Among the brave who took part to raise money - roughly $11,000 and counting - were a group from the Parks and Recreation Department, Scott Adair, with Scout Troop 701, Jaime Frost and Eric Edwards.
