The "Transylvania County Wildlife" series continues in the library's Rogow Room at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 with a presentation on the snakes of Transylvania County. There are nearly two dozen different snakes found in the county but only two types are venomous. Copperheads are masters of camouflage, while timber rattlesnakes will often give a warning rattle before striking.
