Cheating Has Become Epidemic In Our Schools

Cheating in school is an epidemic these days. Everywhere you look there is news about cheating incidents in high schools and universities. Students told ABC News that cheating in school is just a “dress rehearsal for life.” What’s going on?

Let’s look at some numbers first. Parenting.com reports that 80-85 percent of high school graduates admit that they cheated at least once in school. Donald McCabe at Rutgers University surveyed thousands of students in 70 high schools and found that 95 percent of the students had cheated in some way in high school. And in middle school, the...
