Blue Devils Compete At Tony Waldrop Invitational – Brevard NC

In a meet named after a legendary North Carolina miler, it was only fitting that Brevard opened its season with victories in that event on both the men's and women's side.

Eliza Witherspoon (5:32) led wire-to-wire in front of teammate Ava Findlay (5:41), while Noah Schoenacher used a powerful kick to run a big personal best of 4:53 to claim the men's crown.

Brevard's first victory of the day came when freshman Madison Baldridge ran 17.15 in the 100-meter hurdles, the fastest time by a BHS runner in over a decade.

She repeated that feat with a narrow .01 victory in the 300-meter hurdles...
