Tigers Show A Bit Of Rust In Loss To Polk County - Rosman, NC

Senior Harper Reese got the start on the mound for Rosman and went three innings, allowing just one hit and no runs. The Tigers celebrate Senior Day Friday against Swain County.

Before Tuesday's home game against Polk County, it had been 12 days since the Rosman Tigers took the field even longer for the team's seniors, who hadn't played in nearly two-and-a-half weeks.

That time off was evident against the Mustangs, as the Tigers never found their stride, going on to lose the non-conference game by a final of 3-2.

When the two teams met earlier this month on April 10, the Tigers pounded out 10 hits in their victory.

But the long layoff tempered the Rosman bats, as they only managed five hits, while striking out nine times on Tuesday.
