Tigers Take Big Lead Early In Defeat Of Blue Devils

Freshman Brennan Chapman stands at third base with Rosman head coach Derrick Huggins after slapping a two-RBI triple that was part of a 10-run first inning for the Tigers during last Wednesday's victory over the Brevard Blue Devils.

If it were a football game, 14-7 would be viewed as a low-scoring affair, but last Wednesday's rivalry game between Rosman and Brevard took place on the diamond and was anything but a defensive battle.

Ultimately, the Tigers jumped all over the Blue Devils for 10 runs in the first inning and while Brevard chipped away at the deficit over the remainder of the contest, Rosman held on, adding a few late insurance runs to claim the win.
