Last month, Republican President Donald Trump ordered a review of the 25 parks and national monuments established over the past 20 years with the goal of removing such designation. He made it clear that his main concern was that the creation of these reserves by Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama limited the ability of oil and gas and timber companies to develop and exploit these unspoiled areas.
