Library To Present 'Waterfalls: Beauty And Danger' On June 1

High Falls in DuPont State Recreational Forest has been the site of more than one accident over the years. Join forest supervisor Jason Guidry on June 1 to learn waterfall safety tips and how to aid others.

The Transylvania County Library's new monthly program series, "Discover Natural Transylvania," gets underway on Thursday, June 1, at 6:30 p.m. in the Rogow Room. DuPont State Rec-reational Forest Supervisor, Jason Guidry will speak on "Waterfalls: Beauty & Danger."

Guidry's presentation will feature some of Tran-sylvania's most visited places. DuPont State Recreational Forest covers more than 10,000 acres and includes four major waterfalls along with numerous smaller waterfalls. DuPont expects approximately a million individual visitors this year.
