The latest on the project to provide a framework for managing the Pisgah/

Nantahala national forests during the next 10 to 15 years was heard during the recent Transylvania Natural Resources Council (TNRC) meeting.

During the meeting, Pisgah District Ranger Dave Casey and TNRC member David Whitmire presented new maps that the U.S. Forest Service has created highlighting areas of the forests that require inventory before the plan could move forward.
