Jarrett Road Home Destroyed By Fire

A home on Jarrett Road was destroyed Monday evening by a fire.

Rosman Fire Department responded to a structure fire at about 8:30 pm on Monday.

Jarrett Road is located off Old Turnpike Road near the N.C. 215 intersection with U.S. 64. Firefighters found the fire fully involved, and the home is a total loss, according to the county’s Fire Marshal’s Office.

No one was injured in the fire.

Fire marshal investigators and the Rosman Fire Rescue chief were at the scene for most of the day Tuesday, and the fire has been ruled accidental. Other agencies that responded to the fire and assisted include Connestee Fire Rescue, Lake Toxaway Fire Rescue, Balsam Grove Fire Department, Brevard Fire Department and Transylvania County Rescue Squad.
