St. Philip's Laundry Day Filled A Need

St. Philip's Episcopal Church declared a Laundry Day on July 20, providing free laundromat services for 14 neighbors in need.

Neighbors were invited to Classic Laundry on Caldwell Street to do their family laundry.

While there, they mingled with members of St. Philip's at a church-sponsored informal gathering, according to event coordinator Diane Livingston.

"Getting to know each other was a big reason why we offered this event," she said.

The church paid for washers and dryers, provided snacks and even transportation for those who needed it.
