No Plans To Extend Sunday Alcohol Hours

As of now, there are apparently no plans to extend the hours of alcohol sales on Sundays in Transylvania County.

On June 30, Gov. Roy Cooper signed a bill into law, allowing bars, restaurants and retailers to begin serving alcoholic beverages at 10 a.m. Sundays instead of noon.

Local government boards, however, must first approve the change.

Transylvania County Commissioner Larry Chapman said no individual or business has approached the county to make the change.
