Hunters Discuss Forest Plans

Hunter access, young forests and “letting the Forest Service do its job” were the main topics of conversation at last week’s Fish & Wildlife Conservation Council (FWCC) meeting at the Lake Toxaway Community Center.

Formed in the 1990s, the FWCC is a group of hunting and fishing advocates that has been more active since 2012 when the U.S. Forest Service started its preliminary review of the Pisgah/Nantahala national forests management plan.
