Food Matters Market Brevard Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary - Brevard, NC
Last updated 8/16/2017 at 8:14pm
Food Matters Market Brevard celebrates five years of business on Saturday, Aug. 19. The store will celebrate with samples from local vendors and live local music. They will also hold a raffle, giving away 10 gift baskets featuring products from brands including Gaia, Bluebonnet, Carlson, Alaffia, Mychelle and EO.
Music will be from 1-4 p.m. on the patio featuring local mountain music by the Steel String Regulators.
Business partners Al Kirchner and Michael Cianciarulo first opened the Brevard Food Matters Market in 2012 with a vision for providing healthy, quality organic and natural food and products to smaller communities. Equally important was being an engaged member of the community and supporting local products, farmers and businesses. They created an Unacceptable Ingredients List, still used today, keeping unhealthy additives and ingredients out of the store.
The Food Matters Market meets some distinct needs of smaller communities, providing a selection and variety of healthy food and products that otherwise would not be available in a local market.
Their vision continues today and has expanded beyond Brevard to include two more Food Matters Markets in Morganton and Hickory, N.C.
