I am the principal of Rosman Middle School. I have 37 years of experience in various public middle and high schools. The past 23 of those years have been spent as principal at three different middle schools.

I received my bachelor's degree in education and master's in education from Georgia Southern University respectively in 1980 and 1987. I earned my educational specialist degree in administration and supervision from Valdosta State University in 1992.

Luanna is my wife of thirty-five years. I have two children: Will, who lives in Black Mountain, and Erin, my daughter, who lives in Hendersonville. I have a 5-year-old granddaughter and a 6-year-old grandson. People that get to know me understand that family is important to me. In that respect, the people of Rosman have become my family as well, and I deeply value my relationships there.

These past eight years I have sincerely enjoyed serving the school and community of Rosman. I would like to extend an open invitation for you to drop in and see me any time. Please never hesitate to take the opportunity to stop by with me and visit. I continue to ask for your support in helping me to continue the good things that have been put into motion here at RMS. I am excited to be your principal. If you have suggestions, please contact me and make your interests known. I will always make time to meet with parents, teachers and staff. I will continually ask you to assist me in making our community school a great place to learn. I truly want to serve our school and community. Hopefully, through working together, we will make a good school even better.

Each year Rosman Middle School works hard to provide a quality education for the young folks of our community. I guess it is no longer a secret because I tell everyone that I speak with that the Rosman school district is one of the best kept secrets in Western North Carolina. Rosman Middle School delivers many of the traditional values that all parents deem important to the growth of their children. Personal accountability, citizenship and a personal learning experience are all wonderful by-products of our educational mission statement:

RMS Expects... Cooperation among all, Academic growth, Respect for ourselves and others, Excellence in everything we do, and Success for all students.
