Everyday Education: Students Get A Smart Start To Kindergarten

"I'm tall because I'm five years old!"

This is one of many fun exclamations heard from soon-to-be kindergartners at the recent Smart Start to Kindergarten programs hosted at each of the Transylvania County elementary schools.

The week-long program, held in early August, allowed rising kindergarten students the opportunity to explore "big school" before the school year officially started.

Grant funding from Smart Start of Transylvania County made this program available to all Transylvania County Schools students free of charge.
