First Half Fireworks Lead Blue Devils Past Tigers

Brevard quarterback Mitchell Johnson leaps in the air during a pass attempt in the second half of the Blue Devils' rivalry game against Rosman. Johnson threw four touchdown passes in the first half to lead Brevard over the Tigers 27-12.

One week after managing just seven points and barely over 200 yards of total offense, the Brevard Blue Devils found their rhythm and used some big plays through the air to score on three consecutive first-half possessions and defeat the Rosman Tigers 27-12 in the county's annual gridiron rivalry.

Quarterback Mitchell Johnson had a huge game for Brevard, completing 15-of-24 attempts for 273 yards and four touchdowns, including a 98-yard touchdown completion to Breylan Owens that proved to be the backbreaker.
