The Transylvania Times -

Be More Selective With Letters

August 31, 2017

The editorial in the Aug. 21 edition was welcome, at least in this household. If I understand your policy correctly, it is one of inclusion, that is, any letter that you receive is printed unless it alleges facts which are unsupported by reality or is slanderous. I suggest that you be more selective.

A reader’s broadcast of opinions, while not alleging facts upon which it is based, is certainly their right, but printing opinions that are clearly bizarre is not helpful to your readers other than serving to remind them that the Second Amendment gives them the right to arm themselves.
