Blue Devils' Defense Shuts Out Draughn For 27-0 Win - Brevard, NC

Draughn's Devantae Reid (No. 45) is swallowed up by a host of Blue Devil defenders Friday night at Memorial Stadium. The Wildcats came in determined to the run the ball utilizing the option, but Brevard was up to the challenge, holding Draughn to less than 140 yards on the ground on their way to a 27-0 victory.

It wasn't always pretty, but a flawless defensive effort and some timely plays on offense helped the Brevard Blue Devils earn their second straight win Friday night as they shutout the visiting Draughn Wildcats 27-0.

The Blue Devils got into the end zone in every quarter, with quarterback Mitchell Johnson accounting for three of those scores – one on the ground and two through the air.

But despite the final score, the Wildcats weren't a walkover, and Brevard's offense sputtered at times throughout the game.

However, Draughn's option rushing attack was held in check by a swarming Blue...
