Adair Sanders

A Brevard resident with roots in Western North Carolina reaching back to the 1600s via her grandmother's Whitaker relatives, Adair Sanders is the creator of the exciting Allison Parker Mystery Series.

Drawing on her 30 plus years as a trial attorney in Mississippi, Tennessee and Washington, D.C. in federal and state courts, Sanders has created an imaginative, intriguing and deliciously human cast of characters who continue from book to book in the series solving murders, blackmail and barely escaping death.

In addition to writing fiction, Sanders is also the author of a memoir, "Biologically Bankrupt," which chronicles generational dysfunction, addiction and abuse in her family of origin. Written prior to the first of the Allison Parker books, Sanders' brutally honest examination of her own and her birth family's life is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the fruits of forgiveness.

On Sept. 28, from 10 to 11 a.m., in the last of the 2017 Brevard Authors Guild Chat Fests at Highland Books, Sanders will talk about writing in different genres such as memoir and fiction.
