Lady Tigers Sweep Bobcats

The Rosman Lady Tiger volleyball team picked up a big conference win on the road last Thursday as they defeated Blue Ridge 3-0.

Rosman won the match 25-17, 25-15 and 25-16.

Christa Galloway led the offense, finishing with 15 kills on the night. She also had 14 serves received and 10 digs.

Grace Owen finished with 12 assists while Mackenzie Galloway added 11 assists.

Erica Breedlove tallied 13 digs.

With the win, Rosman’s record improves to 5-6, with a 3-3 mark in Smoky Mountain Conference play.

The Lady Tigers have a busy week, traveling to Swain County on Tuesday, hosting Polk County on Wednesday and hitting the road again on Thursday for a match at Highlands.

Lady Blue Devils Fall To Bears

The Brevard High School girls’ tennis team lost a road match against Pisgah 8-1 last Thursday.

The doubles team of Deland Holland and Esther Monahan earned the lone win for Brevard.

Brevard’s record is currently 1-4 and 1-2 in Mountain Six play.

Brevard had a road match on Monday against Hendersonville, another road match Tuesday at East Henderson and hosts Franklin on Thursday.

Brevard Beats East Rutherford 4-1

The Brevard Blue Devil soccer team picked up another big win last Wednesday as they defeated East Rutherford on the road by a final of 4-1.

Scoring goals for Brevard were Connor Backes, Caleb Snyder, Cullen Duvall and Cole Carroll.

Parker Grant and Andrew Tuckey had one assist each, while Carroll tallied two assists.

With the win, Brevard’s record improves to 6-3-1.

The Blue Devils hosted East Henderson on Monday and travels to Franklin on Wednesday.
