Locals Celebrate Multiple Wins During Fair

Transylvania County residents won big during the 10-day N.C. Mountain State Fair this year, including the members of the Rosman Elementary 4-H Club.

According to Heather McNeely, the agricultural teacher at Rosman High School, many club members participated in the fair.

"Emma and Clara Hoxit entered canned tomatoes and bread and butter pickles in the youth canning competition," McNeely said. "Both girls took first place and have beautiful blue ribbons hanging on their jars."
