Robert (Bobby) Howard Galloway Sr., 73, of Rosman, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, peacefully in his home after a long struggle with illness.

  He was a native of Transylvania County and spent most of his life farming and owning Galloway's Produce.

  He was the son of the late Howard E. Galloway and Fannie Wilson Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Galloway Antone; his stepson, Christopher Buchanan; and nephew, Kenny Holcomb.

  Survivors include one son, Robert Howard Galloway Jr., of Lake Toxaway; and two daughters, Crystal Galloway and T.J. Pressley, of Arden, Sharonda Bridges and Chris, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Galloway, of the home; one brother, Richard K. Galloway, of Rosman; two sisters, Margie Holcomb and Bob, of Rosman  and Martha Sue Maxwell and Volly, of Fletcher; an only grandson, Daniel Bruce Gilland Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla. and several nieces and nephews and others who loved him.

  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway, with Rev. Chester Chappell and Rev. Wally McCall officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be his son, Robert Jr., T.J. Pressley, Jerry Ackerman, John Paul Rose and Jeremy McKinney.
