Brevard Overcomes Miscues To Defeat East 48-28 - Brevard, NC

Luke Ellenberger races toward the end zone Friday night as an East defender holds on to the back of his jersey. The junior had a huge kickoff return for a touchdown that swung momentum in Brevard's favor at the end of the second half.

It wasn't the cleanest game ever played, but when the dust settled Friday night the Brevard Blue Devils emerged with a 48-28 win over the East Henderson Eagles in their Mountain Six conference opener.

The two teams combined for nine turnovers on the night, but Brevard's offense proved to be the difference as the Blue Devils moved the ball up and down the field all night while the defense did a solid job of containing the Eagles' dual-threat quarterback Chris Hemphill.

If not for the turnovers, Brevard put together a dominant performance, which was what Head Coach Craig Pritchett emphasize...
