The Transylvania Times -

Copelof For City Council

October 12, 2017

With early voting for Brevard City Council just around the corner (Oct. 19), it’s important for us to focus on candidates who can make a difference. Maureen Copelof is one candidate poised to make a terrific difference!

Since her retirement from a 30-year career as an officer in the United States Navy, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership and garnered numerous professional awards, Maureen’s engagement with our community has been exemplary and decidedly proactive. I know this from personal experience, having worked with her in many volunteer activities and seen her in action. She is motivated, dedicated and tireless in her pursuit of making Brevard and Transylvania County the best that we can be. Her values are our values.

Maureen believes “we need to address and balance three fundamental issues: maintaining and growing a strong, diverse economy; maintaining and nurturing our community spirit and heritage; and protecting and preserving our natural environment.”

She cares deeply for our community and wants to work closely with the Transylvania County Commission to coordinate planning that benefits both Brevard and the greater county.

Brevard City Council needs Maureen Copelof. Check out her website, http://www.electmaureencopelof.com, to read about her experience and local involvement, her positions on the issues, and her dedication to the ideals that mean so much to each and every one of us.
