At Buffalo Cove: Mountain Sun Students Learn Primitive Skills

MSCS students help Buffalo Cove instructors make venison stew.

For four days and three nights Mountain Sun Community School students were immersed in the ways of living for the Cherokee Indians and Gaelic settlers in the 1700-1750s. The sixth annual trip to Buffalo Cove Outdoor Education Center near Boone was a success as students gained a deeper understanding of the era, people and traditions they are studying in their classes.
