County Schools Rank Highly

Despite Transylvania County’s high child poverty rate and other problems local children face, Transylvania County Schools once again rank well in the region and the state based on a number of indices for the past school year.

Based on end-of-grade and end-of-course tests, Transylvania County ranked sixth in the region and 5 points above the state average.

It ranked 24th in the state, which has more than 100 school districts.
