City Council Needs Copelof

October 26, 2017

As we start early voting I urge you to vote for Maureen Copelof for Brevard City Council. I have known and worked with Maureen on a number of projects over the past seven years and have been impressed with the professionalism, enthusiasm and judgment that she brings to everything she undertakes. She has constantly worked to make this a better community for all of us and will continue to do that as a member of city council.

I met Maureen when she was working as the executive director of Free Rein and doing it on a volunteer, pro-bono basis. Free Rein is a nonprofit therapeutic riding center providing services to children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and challenges, including autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, etc. I was impressed by the dedication and enthusiasm that she brought to this organization on a daily basis. Her commitment to helping others was evident. Maureen provided the leadership, financial skills, team building and community outreach necessary for this organization to thrive. Free Rein is just one of many organizations where Maureen has given of her time and talent.

Take the time to look at the many community and civic organizations where she has made a difference. A true “people person,” Maureen has the ability to listen and relate to people of diverse backgrounds, different ages, races and income levels. She understands our community because she has been an active part of so many aspects of it. Maureen Copelof is who we need on city council.
