Sharing House Food Drive Is Saturday

The Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest, Q102-FM and The Transylvania Times will sponsor the Nov. 4 food drive to Pack The Pantry for Sharing House.

The community-wide effort includes volunteers from Rotary, Sharing House and area churches. They will be at the courthouse gazebo and Food Lion, Ingles, GO Grocery Outlet, Dollar General and Dollar Tree, providing shopping lists and collecting food and cash donations.

Sharing House has been the go-to place for food assistance for Transylvan-ians in need since 1981, according to Rev. Shelly Webb, its executive director.
