DAR Members Install WW I Exhibit In Military Museum

Dayna Pollett and Nancy Davis prepared an interesting exhibit for display in the WNC Military Museum.

First Vice Regent Dayna Pollett, assisted by Second Vice Regent Nancy Davis, created a small exhibit in the Western North Carolina Military Museum. The Waightstill Avery Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution was invited by Emmett Casiato, curator, to display information about the DAR's initiatives during World War I.

The exhibit highlights the DAR's War Relief Service Committee, which encouraged DAR members to help finance the war through the purchase of Liberty Loan war bonds. DAR members nationwide also made contributions to support American military units. Other initiatives in...
