Courthouse Questions

The recent decision by the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners to build a new courthouse with an estimated cost of $31 million adjacent to the Public Safety Facility off Morris Road raises more questions than it answers.

To the commissioners’ credit, they did make a decision, something that many previous commissioners failed to do. They did not “kick the can down the road.” But the question only the future will answer is whether or not the decision was the right one.
