Local high school students decorate The Hospice Tree of Remembrance, a tradition that began in 1993 when volunteer Ginny Fisher wanted to find a way to support hospice patients in need. The names of those remembered are written on clay doves that hang on a tree in the lobby of Transylvania Regional Hospital. All proceeds will support CarePartners Hospice of Transylvania, which exists to bring comfort, reduce fears and make a difference in the lives of those facing life-limiting illness, as well as their families. The Tree of Remembrance will be on display throughout the holiday season.
