The Transylvania Times -

Beware Of Increase In Homeowners Insurance

December 28, 2017

Thank you Transylvania Times for alerting your readers to the proposed rate hike in N.C. homeowners insurance. I think we all need to ask some questions in a public forum. Here are a few I have:

1. How much profit did N.C. insurance companies make over the last two years?

2. Will N.C. insurance companies benefit from the recent and very large corporate tax cut passed in Washington?

3. If N.C. insurance companies benefit from this large corporate tax cut, will it offset any projected losses over the next few years?

4. How much money did N.C. insurance companies spend on lobbying efforts over the last two years?

5. How much money did N.C. insurance companies contribute to PAC’s and individual candidates over the last two years?

6. Did Mike Causey, the elected N.C. insurance commissioner, receive any campaign contributions from N.C. insurance companies, or owners of the same, or PAC support in his election campaign or in the retirement of any campaign debt?

As always follow the money.
