Suicide, Student Homeless Shelter Discussed

The need for a suicide prevention awareness program and efforts by Isaac’s Home to provide shelter for homeless students were both brought before the Transylvania County Board of Education last Tuesday evening.

During the first public comment portion of the meeting, Tracy Johns Langford said that on Feb. 27, 2016, she had dinner with Rosman High’s 2008 salutatorian and class president, who also was a 2012 graduate of Winthrop University and a 2015 graduate of Charlotte School of Law.

“This young man is my son and my best friend, Jason Brady Johns,” she said.
