The Transylvania County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place at 8 p.m., Sunday, at Triangle Stop Number 205 on the New Hendersonville Highway.

A white male entered the gas station with a firearm, demanding money from the cashier, according to Det. Chase Owen with the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office.

"The suspect was wearing black or dark colored pants, reflective yellow jacket with silver reflective tape on it and Nike Air tennis shoes," said Owen. "The suspect had a half facemask on which only revealed from the eye line up, and the suspect appears to have had a black beanie on and had the jacket hood pulled up as well."

With an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left on foot and may have gotten into a "small white or light colored vehicle" parked farther down Crab Creek Road.

"A jacket and a pair of Nike Air tennis shoes were located dumped along Crab Creek Road (and) which are believed to have belonged to the suspect," Owen said. "The jacket appears to have had a company logo on it, which had been cut out of the front right chest area and another area on the back which was cut out."

Surveillance pictures captured images of the suspect, and pictures of the jacket and shoes have been provided to the public to seek information.
